Education:
2019 – 2024 BSc, Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Engineering, Bogazici University
I am a master’s student in the Biomedical Engineering Institute at Boğaziçi University and a recent graduate of Boğaziçi with a double major in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. My journey into neuroimaging stems from an enduring fascination with how the brain and body operate together. Having joined MIMLAB in 2024, I am excited to contribute to the lab’s research exploring the intersections of neuroimaging, human physiology, and external influences on the brain. My current project investigates how mental stress and caffeine intake impact brain activity and physiology using simultaneous EEG-fMRI recordings. With experience in multiple programming languages and simulation tools, I am eager to advance our understanding of how various external factors interact with brain networks and physiological responses. I see my research as a bridge between engineering and neuroscience, and I’m inspired by the potential to apply scientific insights to improve people’s lives.
Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring the arts—especially ballet, calligraphy, and acoustic guitar—as well as spending time with my cats and reading between the lines of everything I come across.
