MIMLAB proudly participated in ISMRM 2026 in Cape Town with five scientific presentations. Several of our members were also honored with prestigious travel and conference support awards. It was a great opportunity to discuss recent research outcomes, connect with the community, and join the traditional Turkish Chapter meeting.

  • Hüden Neşe presented a digital poster titled “Arousal-Driven Dynamics of Frequency-Resolved Brain States in Resting-State fMRI.” Hüden was awarded a travel grant through the ImagingBrainstemHealth COST Action.
  • Lina Alqam's digital poster “Caffeine Shifts Brain-Body Coupling Dynamics During Mental Effort: A Multimodal EEG-fMRI Study,” presented by Dr. Pınar S Özbay.
  • Elif Can (MIMLAB alumna and current PhD student at Maastricht University) received the Third Best Trainee Abstract Award from the Brain Function Study Group for her oral presentation titled “Quantifying Arousal-Driven Variability in fMRI Using Eye Closure Metrics and Connectivity Analyses.” She also received a travel grant through the ImagingBrainstemHealth COST Action.
  • Leen Hakki presented a digital poster titled “Age-Related Volumetric Brain Alterations from Early Adulthood to Mid-Life in Female Wistar Rats.” Leen received full conference attendance support through the E. K. Zavoisky ISMRM grant.
  • Belal Tavashi presented a traditional poster titled “A Preclinical Susceptibility Phantom for Quantitative Evaluation of QSM Algorithms in the Rat Brain.” Belal also received a travel grant through the INDoS COST Action, along with registration support from the E. K. Zavoisky ISMRM grant.

We warmly congratulate all MIMLAB members for their outstanding contributions and achievements. We look forward to future ISMRM Annual Meetings and to continuing our engagement with the global scientific community advancing innovation in MRI and neuroimaging research.
