Course overview and learning outcomes: Human Cognition and Behavior course will cover topics on human brain development, brain function and structure, cognitive and behavioral studies including attention, memory, learning, and decision making. Students will have an understanding on the interactions between behavior, physiology, and cognition during various conditions of our daily lives such as drowsiness and sleep, and learn how to relate them with advanced imaging and data analysis techniques. The course aims to give students a detailed understanding of cognitive research in biomedical sciences and engineering. Teaching methods: Lecturing, reading assignments and tutorials.
