A space for studying brain and physiology

"The study of the human brain and its disease remains one of the greatest scientific and philosophical challenges ever undertaken." said Floyd E. Bloom. MIMLAB has taken this challenge to solve the mysteries of the human brain with diverse team members coming from different backgrounds.

Our aim is to better understand the human brain by integrating functional neuroimaging techniques such as EEG and fMRI.  We are highly interested in the interplay between systemic physiology—such as heart rate, respiration, and pupil behavior—and various states of vigilance. We are designing and developing ideas to better understand the brain and physiology.

We are conducting imaging studies including both human and preclinical models and advancing computational signal analysis techniques, enabling us to better understand the brain's structure and function in both health and disease.
